Why You Should Try Yoga Lab This Saturday
August 21, 2017
If you’ve ever been to a yoga class, you’ll know all about the high that comes from stretching and strengthening your muscles, the peace you achieve by breathing deeply, and that euphoric feeling you get during a juicy savasana. You know you love the way yoga feels, but have you ever stopped to think about the way each pose really functions in your body? Why do we move the way we do during a class, and what is the real purpose behind each posture?
Every Saturday at 10:15am, join Ian Elliott, RYT, as he dives deeper into yoga as an accessible and sustainable practice. Yoga should improve our everyday lives by increasing flexibility, strength and mobility, but so often we find ourselves blindly following the instructor’s cues, even if the movements don’t feel good in our bodies.
It’s for this reason that Ian teaches a balanced and practical class for all levels, making the practice achievable and enjoyable for every body. If you’re still not convinced, here are three reasons to try the class this weekend:
1. You’ll gain a better understanding of your personal practice. As an experienced practitioner and teacher, Ian knows how to tailor his classes to fit each student’s body and movement style. Through his class, you’ll learn the best ways to use yoga to your advantage and truly benefit from your practice.
2. You’ll increase strength, flexibility and mobility. Of course, as you learn more about your own body and practice, you’ll begin to enjoy longer, leaner limbs, better posture and potentially relief from aches and pains.
3. You’ll unwind and relax. Yoga isn’t all about the physical benefits! Come to class to experience a deep, satisfying relaxation and really tap into your own inner being. Ian will help you benefit from the mental and spiritual side of the practice, helping you to unwind for the weekend.
