Sameer | Zumba Fitness Instructor
Sameer attended his first Zumba class in 2014, has been hooked to the Latin-inspired fitness program ever since. Dancing and music have been big parts of his life since childhood, and Zumba just seemed to be the missing puzzle piece. Certified since 2015, Sameer strives for a class that’s upbeat and lively, using moves that are fun, engaging, and easy to follow. Many people have asked Sameer if being a “good dancer” is needed to do Zumba, but this is far from the case. Zumba’s primary purpose is for participants to have fun, and move as they please to the music – the opportunity is always there to tailor steps as needed, or even make up your own!
Originally from Ottawa, Sameer is a graduate student at the University of Toronto. He is studying to become an Occupational Therapist, and has a particular interest in the role of fitness and wellness on health and quality of life. Along with sharing his passion for dancing and music, Sameer has also lead sessions in guided and mindfulness meditation to promote the importance of inner peace and mental well-being.
